Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Piero ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Piero.

Piero is a web-based productivity tool for task capture, timeboxing, and Pomodoro focus sessions. The Service is still in development and is provided "as is".

Piero is not offered for sale. There is no paid plan and no lifetime purchase. Joining the waitlist is a request to be emailed when the product opens. It is not an order, a pre-order, or a reservation, and it takes no payment.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Piero.
• You must provide accurate registration information.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• Notify us immediately at hello@pieroplanner.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or show signs of abuse.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or our systems.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Upload malicious code, spam, or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Systematically scrape or harvest data from the Service.

You retain ownership of all content you create in Piero (tasks, notes, labels, etc.). By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties.

A Google Calendar connection is optional, and only if that part of the product is available to your account. If you connect:

• You authorise Piero to read and display your calendar events.
• You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account settings or within Piero.
• Google's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply to this data.

The Piero name, logo, design, and software are the exclusive property of Piero and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of €50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

• You may delete your account at any time from the account settings.
• We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.
• On termination, your content will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which Piero is established. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably; failing that, they shall be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
